With our antenna’s Obstruction-Penetrating Qualities, a singularly polarized antenna needed to have 3-20 dB greater gain to even compare at times (in some obstructed environments even a 35 dBi 10' diameter dish!).
With an 18” Ultra-M Beam at both ends with amp/pre-amps (appropriate wattage at the antenna per FCC regulations, part 15.247) at 2.4 Ghz, 20 miles has been seen successfully for Point-to-Multi-Point and 50 miles with Point-to-Point deployments.
